The holidays often inspire us to eat, a warm traditional meal and spend more time with our families. Add to that the joy of creating a nice aloe juice to sip by the fire and you're ready to immerse yourself in the holiday season! Here are a few recipes for you to try great drink (or, as a reminder, if you had before).
Butter rum cocktail hot
2 C. vanilla ice cream
1 C. granulated sugar
1 C. Brown sugar
1 C. Butter
Rum alternative (non-alcoholic)
Directions: Mix sugar and butter routine in a pan and brown sauce. Set to low heat until butter melts. Be sure to stir occasionally. When the butter melts, pour the mixture into a large bowl and add the cream. Fighting until smooth mixture. To make the butter rum aloe juice, fill 1/4 of a cup with the mixture, add about one ounce of rum replaced, and 3/4 cup boiling water. With a pinch of nutmeg. Butter sugar mixture / creamy / can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for about two weeks, which makes it a cinch to prepare when you have unexpected company.
Chocolate Egg Nog
Chocolate syrup chocolate
Directions: This easy one for! In a glass, mix 4 parts to 1 part egg nog chocolate syrup. Top with a sprinkle of nutmeg, if you want to jazz it up a bit.
Cold Mocha with Amaretto
4 oz. milk chocolate
2 oz. cold coffee
1 oz. Amaretto flavor (non-alcoholic) syrup
chocolate powder or shavings
Directions: In a glass, add ice, milk chocolate, aloe juice and Amaretto syrup. Mix together and top with cream. Sprinkle chocolate cell or a little chocolate powder and serve.
Hot mulled Apple Cider
3 cups cider
4 + 2 more cinnamon sticks to decorate
1/2 cup ground "red hots" candy
1/2 cup rum alternative (non-alcoholic)
Directions: Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan (or slow cooker) and heat over medium heat. When the mixture is hot, reduce to a low temperature and allow it to mull in about an hour. Serve warm and garnish with a cinnamon stick or two.
